Connecticut Dog Trainer Tom Porier is a life-long dog lover and advocate. Growing up, and throughout his life, Tom was always the “go to” guy when friends, neighbors, or people associated with his various dog activities needed help our guidance with dog training issues.
After an extremely successful career in the hospitality industry, Tom decided to combine his love, and intuitive knowledge of dogs, with his customer service experience, as well as his genuine desire to help people and improve their quality of life, and start Camelot Dog Training. Tom offers professional, in-home dog training throughout the state.
Tom formalized his dog education and experience by becoming a member of Canine Trade Group. Headed by John Van Olden, an acclaimed dog trainer with over 25-years of professional dog behavior training experience, Canine Trade Group is an exclusive network of experienced, professional dog trainers, dedicated to the highest standards of professional conduct, training knowledge, and customer service.
Max Sauer

With years of experience working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, Max is dedicated to helping dogs and their owners build lasting, positive relationships. Specializing in obedience training, behavior modification, and socialization, Max uses different reinforcement techniques to promote learning in a fun and engaging environment.
Having worked with a variety of dogs—from puppies to rescue dogs, Max tailors each training plan to suit the unique needs of the dog and their family. Whether it’s basic commands or resolving behavioral issues like separation anxiety or aggression, Max focuses on creating a calm and structured environment that benefits both the dog and owner.

Samantha Smart
Professional Dog Trainer in Hudson Valley, NY
You can find a dog or two by her side in any family photo, not too long after getting her own puppy in high school, dogs became her passion. She worked in the industry for many years at veterinary offices and boarding facilities, focusing on temperament testing and behavioral work. When she wasn’t at her full time job, she began providing dog-sitting & walking services; which ultimately led her to pursue a career in training. Samantha also is certified in Pet CPR.
Samantha is most passionate about helping owners and their dogs achieve their full potential, as a team. Having handled many different breeds, along with owning the worlds most misunderstood breed, a bully-breed mix; Samantha brings a lot of patience and understanding to any challenge you may be having.
Chris Fink
Professional Dog Trainer in Rhode Island and Boston, MA
Chris has always held a mutual respect with animals since he was young. His professional career in dog training didn’t start until about four years ago when he started training at Petco. This is where he found his calling to connect with the animals that he’s always loved. Since then, he has helped families and their dogs become closer and develop a more stable connection.
Working with animals is something Chris has always wanted to do. He is thrilled to have found this profession as a professional dog trainer. Chris loves seeing the real-world changes in not only a dog’s behavior, but the dog owners understanding with their dog. It has been a privilege helping folks, and he is looking forward to helping more and more dogs in Rhode Island. With a little patience and commitment to your dog, he will do everything we can to improve your relationship with your furry friends.
