Service Dog Training

Service dogs are more than just pets; they’re a lifeline for their handlers. At Camelot Dog Training, we help owners mitigate undesirable canine behaviors, and we offer service dog training for those who need their dog trained to perform service tasks.

Service dogs require specialized training

Only some canine companions are cut out for service dog training, they need the right temperament for the job. The ones who are must excel in areas like focusing and basic obedience training, and depending on the help you need, there may also be certain physical requirements.

Camelot Dog Training can evaluate your dog for training, offer advice on acquiring a dog or puppy with the ideal qualifications, and then train them as a mobility support service animal or a psychiatric support service animal.

We do not train dogs for medical alert service at this time, or guide dogs. That means we can train your dog to bring you seizure medication, but we can’t train them to predict a seizure.

Service Dog Training for Mobility and Psychiatric Support

A mobility service dog is ideal for those who may have a disability and struggle to get around their home or access certain areas. Your dog will be able to:

A psychiatric service dog is ideal for those struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mental health challenges. Your dog will be able to help with:

  • Coping
  • Blocking
